Izakaya is a full bar and an amazing restaurant with affordable food and great selection of beers and spirits. The restaurant has modern decor and had a soothing ambiance with good music. There were flat screen tv's around but they weren't really on.

The walls now have plant roots painted on them--a humorous touch. There is a new, mysterious banquet room. They updated their menu to include a few new dishes, a wider selection of alcohols, and Japanese--surely useful for the tourists staying at the nearby hotels. Don't let the hip vibe fool you. The servers and crowd are down to earth and extremely courteous.
